On September 14, 2024 I had the privilege of photographing Rey and Rowena’s intimate wedding at St. Bernadette’s Church in Stockton California. This heartfelt ceremony with close friends and family was a true reflection of their love and connection. As a wedding photographer in Stockton my focus is on capturing authentic moments that tell the real story of the day, preserving the emotions and details that make each wedding unique.

The day began in Tracy where Rowena prepared in her elegant white gown while Rey dressed in his traditional Filipino Barong Tagalog. The atmosphere was relaxed and personal. I made sure to document these quiet moments of anticipation, allowing the emotions to unfold naturally and guiding my camera to capture the true essence of the day.

The ceremony took place at St. Bernadette’s Church in Stockton. It was a welcoming and peaceful space. The venue provided a charming backdrop for their vows with the focus squarely on the couple. As a documentary wedding photographer my aim was to capture the genuine moments of the ceremony where the love between Rey and Rowena took center stage. Their connection was clear and I worked to preserve the authenticity of their vows and the intimate nature of the ceremony.

After the ceremony we took a few moments for portraits around the church. These portraits reflected the couple’s bond as well as the serene and intimate atmosphere of their wedding. The venue allowed for quiet moments of reflection and connection which made these portraits even more meaningful.

The reception was held at St. Bernadette's Church Hall which was conveniently a few steps away from the church itself. Round tables with white linens and purple accents transformed the space. I captured the candid moments: laughter during toasts, heartfelt conversations and spontaneous embraces that highlighted the joy of their Stockton wedding reception.

Rey and Rowena’s wedding was a reminder that the most memorable moments don’t always require grandeur.
